Peaches getting married! (Retro Post)

Hi lovelies!

So some very exciting news on the blog today; I'm getting married!

Andrew asked me to marry him on Tuesday 21st January and I said a big fat yes! The proposal was perfect for us, and I have told very few people the specifics and I'm going to keep it that way. Lets just say it was incredibly simple and very geeky just like my future husband!

We picked the ring together, but I've only just got it on my finger as the first one didn't fit (who knew chubby fingers were such a problem for engagement rings?!) and I'm so in love with it already. Its a black diamond and not a single person who knows me well was at all surprised by that choice!

We will be having a small wedding (around 50 guests) with elements of 50s/60s style, some geeky bits and lots of handmade bits!

We have already picked a date (18th February 2016) and I can't wait already!
I will be having one of my sisters are maid of honour and my nieces as bridesmaids (who are super excited!)

So there will definitely be some wedding posts on the blog from now on, although at this point probably just monthly!

I've already started pinning on to a wedding board on pinterest, so if you're really interested you can get an idea of what I'm going for already - www.pinterest.com/smokingpeaches

I'd love to hear about your weddings, if you're getting married let me know below!

I'm sure you've seen my budget wedding blog - http://www.bargainistabride.com and I'll be putting loads of stuff on there about saving money and getting freebies. Do you mind if I add your link to the sidebar as a bride to be?

  9. Congratulations! I love your ring :)

I'm having a February wedding too, but in 2015. I've got a whole bunch of different wedding-related boards on my Pinterest - http://www.pinterest.com/skimmedmiilk/ I think our themes are very different, but there's a lot of generic/universal planning and photography and ideas in there too so you might find something helpful!
