How to find the motivation to study: a book haul!

Hi lovelies,

So I'm currently in the midst of dissertation writing and despite how mammoth and important it is (and how little is actually done at the start of the month...) I decided to reward myself for working! After (very little) thinking, I decided that since I am currently addicted to buying loads of books, I would reward myself for a days dissertation work with a book added to basket, and then order them at the end of the week! I'm going to continue this for the next few weeks to try and encourage me to get work done (as if having only a few weeks left of university is not enough!)

So I thought I'd just quickly share which books I picked up and why they made it to the top of my list!

This one doesn't take much explaining, everyone on booktube seems to be raving about it! This was the first book I added to my basket as I can't wait to get my hands on it, love a good suspense novel!

This is an interesting one, I originally added this to my list after spotting it on Jean's YouTube, mainly because it looks SO pretty! But I recently read the blurb and it was so interesting I had to instantly add it to my basket!

Another one lighting up the booktube, I just liked the sound of this one and it's getting some high ratings!

I was avoiding buying books from series but I made an exception for this one. The concept just grabbed my attention - imprisoned for having superpowers? Count me in!

Again another booktube recommendation but I really just bought this so I could read a book based on the inside of a video game (how cool?!)

Have you read any of these? Let me know what you thoughts and which book/s should go to the top of my to be read pile!

  1. I loved Ready Player One, I finished reading it a couple of days ago! I've got The Girl on The Train to read this month after I've finished The Miniaturist!
Really like your blog, enjoy the read ;)

    1. Ahhh I have heard so many good things! I'm debating whether to start that or girl on the train first! How did you enjoy the miniaturist? I've got a review coming up and it's not very positive but I think I'm the only one who didn't like it! Haha xx

    2. I'm not even half way through The Miniaturist but I like it, it's not my favourite book but it's not something I normally read anyway. I was being spontaneous buying it plus I heard good things about it! There's nothing wrong in not liking it, it's good to have different opinions :) x
