The Curvissa Five Ways to Wear Blogger Challenge: Occasion Wear!

Hi lovelies,

Today I have something super exciting for you, a review of one of the many pieces of occasion wear that the lovely plus size brand Curvissa have to offer! Curvissa are a fantastic plus size brand, because not only do they offer a massively extensive range, they also go up to a size 32, and I really think more plus size brands should follow this excellent example because plus size does not stop at a size 22 and we ALL deserve to look fabulous and feel beautiful!

I was super excited to be asked to joined in on this challenge, and even more thrilled when I realised I would be getting to pick from a selection of occasion wear, after all it is wedding season!

So without further ado, let me showcase the beautiful Kaleidoscope Floral Tea Dress £55.00, that I have styled with every intention of showing off at the very next wedding in my diary!

So I originally picked this dress as it is similar to my existing personal style, but also a little different, with the floral pattern being on the ivory background. I very rarely wear anything this light so I was a little bit nervous trying it out but there was no need to be. The beautiful, vibrant floral pattern made me forget I was wearing white!

I love the cap sleeves on this dress, I was originally going to style it with a purple cardigan (I rarely go without a cardigan!) but these cap sleeves were perfect and I felt that a cardi would spoil the overall look. I also liked the added detail of the tie back, which helped pinch your waist in even more! I had also planned to add a chunky necklace to this, but decided that it was unnecessary, I think the dress does not need anything else added to look fabulous. The only thing I (obviously) added was my favourite New Look wedges (these are so comfy by the way!)

Of course I decided to take a couple of silly photographs, but after having a look I realised this one is actually practical for showing how well made the dress actually is. The instant it was out of the postage packaging I thought it felt very expensive, so much so I had to go back and check the price as I thought there was no way it could be this reasonable! Lots of little details added to this effect; the keyhole neckline, the pintuck detailing and the structure of the dress. However, nothing says well made better than a good lining, and as you can tell from this picture, there's no seeing through this one!

I had to include this picture because I literally spent the whole time in this dress twirling and whirling.  You can also see from all these photographs that the dress is a perfect length on me ( I'm 5ft 4ins for reference! and yes I know I don't look it!). Also, an added bonus of the dress was that it looked great on my boobs! The dress overall really flattered my figure in all the right places and I'm so grateful I was given the chance to review it!

Time for the star rating (try and see if you can guess the rating by this picture...!)

Drumroll please...
Of course I could not give this dress anything less than five stars! I really love the colours, the fit, cut and quality is excellent, and I felt like a million bucks in it! The only thing I could really quibble about was the sizing. I felt like I could have done with a size bigger (and I had sized up already as I'm between sizes so went for the bigger size out of the two) but that would not effect me buying the dress, just what size I bought it in! Also, I feel this is in part due to my specific self-consciousness, and I feel that it looks like it fits perfectly in these pictures! The only other thing I would note is that this particular dress/brand only goes up to a size 24. This is not problematic for me, but it may be worth nothing for others!

I really hoped you enjoyed how I styled this dress, and I would absolutely love for you to check out how all the other fabulous ladies got on with styling their chosen outfits...I think we can all agree I'm in excellent company on this challenge!

What do you think of this dress? Would you still it differently? Let me know your thoughts below!

*A big thanks for my fiancé Andrew for being my photographer for this, he's pretty good eh!
