Lindybop Victoria Swing Dress - A dress fit for a bride (to be!)

Well hello there my darling lovelies,

Today I am bringing you some plus size hot bride to be realness in the form of the Lindybop Victoria Swing Dress!

For those of you who don't know (where have you been hiding?) I am getting married in February, and that means I have just had my hen party. Normally the idea of finding a dress that was both fun, sexy and in my size brings me out in a cold sweat, but not since I found Lindybop.

Lindybop offer beautiful, affordable, vintage clothes (mostly dresses) in sizes 6-26 with free UK delivery. So any time I have a special occasion coming up, they my first stop! I am a size 20-22 and I find the sizing very accurate as well as the fact I always receive excellent customer service and a fast delivery!

For my hen party, I wanted something special, something that made me feel like a proper princess and of course GREEN which is my current colour obsession. Of course, Lindybop did not disappoint and I found the beautiful Victoria to be everything I was hoping for (and a lot more).

The dress came with a good quality thin leopard print waist belt (which I will use a lot!) however, I styled it with a fantastic leopard print bow waist belt (I'm definitely going to buy this in a few different colours) and short black cardigan (not pictured, but also going to buy more of these...!) also from Lindybop. I also popped on some awesome leopard print pumps from New Look years ago (similar) and the gorgeous chunky black statement necklace you can see in pictures was a gift from my sister (last year) who works for Zara (nothing similar available at the moment, but check stores for old stock!).

I also added a petticoat which I bought from Amazon (mainly due to the fact I got next day delivery). I would recommend it, however with a few points, firstly, the size says up to a 22, however I think if you are a size 20/22 with a large tummy or waist, you would really struggle to get into this. Also, it came vacuum packed, which meant I had to spend some time ironing it down with a towel because I had no idea how else to do it without damaging it. Other than that, I think it was good value for money compared to others I've seen.

Overall, I had a fantastic day and I absolutely loved my outfit. Here's a snapshot of all of us enjoying afternoon tea at the beautiful and fantastic Butterfly and the Pig Tea Rooms and me and one of my sisters after our pin up style makeover from the amazing girls at Pin Ups Glasgow!

Have you tried Lindybop? what's your favourite style from them? Let me know below!
**I was not paid for this post, I just REALLY love the brand!**

  1. I just ordered this very dress. I'm excited to get it after reading your post. I have the same hair color and fair skin as you so I thought the green would look beautiful. If it looks half as good on me as it does on you I will be very happy. I am a bit nervous though because I got a dress all most the same from Amazon but it was to small even though I got the biggest size and the size guide said it would fit. This will be my first dress from this store so my fingers are crossed. You are beautiful and congratulations on your marriage. Lots of love from Rachel, Kentucky USA
