A Budget Friendly, Last Minute, Geeky Gift Guide! [12daysof#blogmas]

Good evening lovelies,

Today I am bringing you a Christmas gift guide that is perfect for a geek, or from a geek!

I wanted everything to be inexpensive, and easy to get a hold of (since it's now just over a week before Christmas!) so everything in this gift list is around £15 or under, and widely available (though in one particular case I admit that "widely available" is a misnomer, but they are available on Amazon with next day delivery at the very least!

I don't have pictures of everything, because some of these are from my own geeky wish list, I hope you enjoy the images anyway!

Jurassic World - perfect for fans of the original movies, most will get a kick out of this (even if WE didn't!) I know a lot of folk who enjoyed this in the cinema, so if you know a fan, it would make a good gift!

Avengers, Age of Ultron - perfect for fans of the original movie, it's time to update their collection with the second one!

Ant Man - This is one from my own wish list. I haven't seen this yet, but I have the feeling that some people would have choose not to see this because Ant Man is not one of the names well known in the mainstream, meaning there are less likely to already have it in their collection. Also, it was directed by Edgar Wright and stars Paul Rudd. What more do you need??

Inside Out - for the kids in your life (or the big kids!) this is a great choice, as it's just released, the kids are less likely to have it already and I would think about buying this for adults too, even if they're not into disney, because it's not just for kids!

Pride - Ok this is not "geeky" but I wanted to include this because I want more people to buy/watch this. This film based on a true story from the UK in the 80s when a LGBT group decided to raise money for the miners striking. Powerful and very moving, everyone should watch this, right now.

Guardians of the Galaxy - okay so it's not like this is unheard of, but I stuck this in here because I think it would be the perfect choice for getting someone who is not into comic book movies already, into comic book movies!

Lego Video Games - suitable for all the family, these games have easy gameplay and are really awesome fun. You can get these for most platforms (old and new consoles) even PC!

Little Big Planet - again suitable for most age ranges, this is a super fun game to play with a pal. Again suitable for most platforms (although I would advise against getting the 3rd game in the series, as it's incredibly glitchy)

Beyond Two Souls  - for the more seasoned game player, if they already have a lot of games and you want to give them something different, try Beyond Two Souls, it puts you in the game and allows you to make decisions, meaning no two plays of this game will be the same.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Illustrated Edition - perfect for any Harry Potter fan, this beautiful edition could be a perfect addition to their collection. Also, this would be a lovely choice for a child of the right age, if you'd like to introduce a whole new generation to the wonderful world of Potter!

Lumberjanes - there are a lot of comic books I could recommend, but I choose Lumberjanes because it is just super fun and uplifting. It's also one of the few comic books I own that I could recommend for a younger audience (but totally awesome for adults too!). The story is about magic and an awesome girl gang and their crazy adventures.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - I picked this because I think this would be an excellent introduction to comic books, especially if you know someone who loved the film but who doesn't read comic books!

Seconds - by the same creator as Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, I have only included this because I adore it, it moved me and I want more people to read it.

His Dark Materials - this beautiful edition of the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman would delight any fan of the series. It would also make a great gift for someone who hasn't read them before and enjoys middle grade and fantasy (like me, I got this for my birthday)!

1001 games/movies to play/watch before you die - A brilliant coffee table read for anyone who is into gaming or movies, also a good choice because they are very unlikely to have bought it for themselves!

Silhouettes from Popular Culture - this is a fun one for anyone who likes art, coffee table books or just a good puzzle.

Infographic Guide to the Movies - another one for movie lovers. I bought this for Andrew last year and he really liked it. Perfect for the statistics geek and the movie geek!

Pop Vinyls
And my last choice is some Pop! Vinyls. These are more widely available these days but these are most readily available on Amazon.  These are a great gift for all age ranges, (as you can see at 27, I love them!) and the best thing is all you need to know is their favourite character, and you will almost definitely be able to get a pop! vinyl version!

I hope you all like my suggestions, if you have any folk to still to buy for and you think I might be able to help, leave a comment below I'd love to try and help!
