The Christmas Tag! [12Daysof#Blogmas]

Welcome lovelies,

to the first day of the 12 days of #blogmas on this here blog!

I thought I'd get us started off with something super Christmassy, and what is more Christmassy than a Christmas Tag all about Christmas!

Now honestly, I cannot find where this tag originated, I found this one from last year on Miss Makeup Savvy! But if anyone can enlighten me to the original creator, let me know below and I will get it added!

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?

The Holiday, Home Alone and Die Hard (yes it definitely is a Christmas movie!).

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

When I lived at home (3 years ago), I was always made to wait to Christmas morning. I always found an excuse to open something before the big day though (like a friend or relative or secret santa that I received before the big day! Mwahaha) Then when my fiancé and I moved in together, we started opening them at midnight on Christmas Eve, which technically is just REALLY early on Christmas Day!

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

I am really shit at remembering Christmas, I was just talking about this the other day. I think it's because my birthday is so close to it (just over two weeks) the memories from my childhood tend to blend together.

Although in recent years, I have a great memory of waking up VERY hungover on Christmas Day to go to my sisters to Christmas dinner, hugging a box of chicken pakora and chips...

4. Favourite festive food?

All the potatoes. I'm not even joking. The best thing about Christmas is all the different kinds of potato on offer. You can have roasters, mash and croquettes on your plate and NOONE will judge you! It really is a wonderful day.

5. Favourite Christmas gift?

When I was a kid, I got a red Game Boy colour, with Pokémon red. I don't think any present has ever topped that. However, a few years ago, Andrew bought me a bottle of Tom Ford Black Orchid which came very close.

6. Favourite Christmas scent?
when it comes to candles, I love mulled wine, or any kind of winters apple scent but my all time favourite specific scent is the Blackberry Fig colour changing candle from Airwick. Super inexpensive too!
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

Andrew and I (well I did anyway) came up with one last year for the first time. We make up a "Christmas Eve Box" which we buy for each other - a Christmassy film, sweets and PJs and the rule is no matter what the film is we have to watch it (last year he had to watch Frozen - it was fine he secretly loved it...) I'm hoping it's something we could do if we had kids one day :)

8. What tops your tree?

A fabulous rustic star!

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?

Not to be a dick, but I always got everything that I asked for, but we were never the type of kids (me and my sisters that is) that asked for £500 worth of stuff or anything impossible like a pony. We were taught the value of things from a young age and at this age I'm pretty grateful for that!

10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?

I'm going with the standard answer for 500 thanks. Being with my family. Having 3 older (much older) sisters with their own families means we are rarely all in the same place at the same time, so it's the best bit. Also, playing with my nephews presents, obviously.

Now I tag you! Yes you there. If you do this (or have done it already!) please leave your links below, I'd love to have a read!
