Reading Wrap Up June 2016

Hi lovelies,

Today I would like to share with you what I read in the month of June!

This month I was struggling with my concentration so as you can see below I mostly stuck to graphic novels and audiobooks. Although at the start of the month I took part in the Tome Topple read-a-thon so I got two big books ticked off my to-read list! Hooray! And I also read twelve items in total, so I'm feeling pretty good about that!

This month I read...

The Haters by Jesse Andrews** - 3.5/5 - Ya contemporary
Wayward Volume 1 by Jim Zub - 3/5 - sci-fi
A Gathering of Shadows (Shades of Magic #2) by V. E. Schwab - 4/5 - fantasy
The Steel Kiss (Lincoln Ryhme #12) by Jeffrey Deaver - 4/5 - crime/thriller
Descender Volume 1 by Jeff Lemire - 4/5 - sci-fi
Kristy's Great Idea (The Babysitters Club Graphic Novel #1) by Raina Telgemeier - 5/5 - YA contemporary
The Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie* - 4/5 - crime
The Truth About Stacey (The Babysitters Club Graphic Novel #2) by Raina Telgemeier - 4/5 - YA contemporary
Prudence (The Custard Protocol #1)* by Gail Carriger - 3.5/5 - steampunk fantasy (YA?)
Mary Anne Saves the Day (The Babysitters Club Graphic Novel #3) by Raina Telgemeier - 4/5 - YA contemporary
Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher*  - 3/5 - Adult contemporary
Giant Days Volume 2 by  John Allison - 4/5 - YA/NA contemporary

*listened to on audiobook
**read in e-book format

My favourite read this month was...

re-reading the The Babysitters Club as full colour graphic novels. I'm just sad there's only three of them! I also really loved Giant Days volume 2, I loved the first volume and read the second volume the second it hit my doormat.

My least favourite read this month was...

I honestly didn't have a least favourite this month everything was pretty good! the only thing I could say was I was a little disappointed in Wayward volume 1.

My most surprisingly good/bad read this month was...

I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed Descender Volume 1 by Jeff Lemire, I know many people have said how good it is but I just wasn't sure I would enjoy the art style, but the art and story was really wonderful and make me feel quite emotional at points!

What was your favourite read this month? Let me know if you'd like to see a full review of any of the books I've read this month below!
