So last week I told you all about my very first Book and a Brew subscription box, and today I'm here to tell you all about the second one!
As I mentioned before, Book and a Brew sends you a box once a month containing a hardback book, and a specialty tea to enjoy with it for just £12.99 a month.
I was really looking forward to the September box arriving after such a successful first box. So let's see what I got...
The Fair Fight is a historical fiction about a young girl born into a brothel, turned into a fighter, but when her trainer abandons her, his wife has an interesting proposition...
I'll be totally honest, I was a bit worried that I got a historical fiction, as it's just one genre I don't read, but that was kind of the point of me getting a bookish subscription. The story sounds interesting but complex, and it's gets a fairly decent review on goodreads.
the book itself is gorgeous, and I think Book & a Brew definitely take this into consideration when picking the book!
The tea this time was another new brand, and I loved that yet again it went perfecting with the book, in colour and name (fruit "punch" gerrit?) I just think it's so cute and I look forward to the package each month. The tea I have (as usual) already tried and it was amazing, I'd definitely pick more up from Brew Tea!
Another success, I can't wait to see what comes in the October box! Hoping for a thriller at the very least!
Have you tried Book & a Brew? What do you think? Let me know below (Also let me know if you've read Fair Fight, I'd love to hear your thoughts!)
